John:You are missing my point, but that is okay. You must follow your conscience. I am glad to hear that you have and consult with a spiritual director. If our angel gives us his name, then Praise God. That is not the problem, it the manner of how you received this name (not that you received it) that is the problem in my opinion.Nevertheless, it is my duty to discourage people from naming or seeking the names of their guardian angels. The dangers are great. If we think we cannot be duped by the devil in asking our angel for his name then we are in serious trouble. The devil can and does interfere in such things.One more thing, one can have a profound relationship with our Angel without knowing his name. Knowing the name is completely unnecessary.Also John, Angels are not him/her... Angels have no sex, no gender, and in the English language the male pronoun is used in such a case, but to refer to angels as him/her is to imply something that is theologically and ontologically in error.If you have not read the Vatican document on prayers of healing, it is a must read for all those in this ministry.

Hello everyone, Over the last couple of years, I started to pray the gaurdian angel prayer just about daily, I never gave any thought to what my gaurdian angels name is. I never felt the need to know, and I still don't. I have been reading all the posts on this forum and I started to think, why would someone want to know the name of his guardian angel? I would rather know that my angel is with me. If you stop to think about it, if I am correct, everyone has a gaurdian angel to protect them during their life, I use to think that a guardian angel was a loved one that had passed on, but from what has been said a angel is not human and never has been, it is a supernatural being with God given powers and strengths. It is comforting to know that my gaurdian angel is near me, to help me in my struggles in this life, to be close to me in my joys and my sorrows.

There is a demonic snare in trying to build an unhealthy curiosity about our guardian angels.We have to also ask as to where would we actually get the name of our Angels except by some Occult means?Someone in an e-mail mentioned an angel board a few years back. I said Angel Board?It is a beautiful board painted with Angels and quite artistic, but is still just as an Ouija board.I said Don't you know demons are angels too?They said they always avoided the Ouija board because of Stories they heard. See how the cleaver little snare here as they sugar coat the old occult spirit board?Also many sources out there mix Mythology, and other faiths/belief systems in their information about Angels which include the names. Occultist will consider some demons to be Good angels and have their names right in the list.So whats in a name?Avoid this... just as we refrain from a study of Demons names. (we leave that for the church Exorcist)
