Catholic Gov. Bobby Jindal is among those who have the potential to be McCain's running mate, and Jindal has written about his experience helping a possibly demonized friend. I clearly remember reading his account a year or so ago, but didn't know he was the governor of Louisiana. Here's are a couple articles covering the story. I imagine if he becomes McCain's running mate, the jokes will be nonstop on late night TV.

Well, I'm not easily moved but Gov. Jindal has my full endorsement. He just vetoed a bill that would have given Louisiana's Lawmakers a 300% increase in salary. Needless to say he is not very popular right now in some circles. He is really a statesman rather than a politician.
