Dreams in life QUESTION from g. paz June 25, 1999 Well, since my conversion (about 18 years already), i have had many dreams, i dreamed with our Lord Jesus, our mother Mary, and also once with an angel. But also i have had dreams many times with different types of demons (very scary)(all i understand that they were red in color, even that in my dreams i see them like dark brown color ( it seams that the red was because of their hatred toward people).
The point is: know i have reiterated dreams about the world future and they are worring me, in one of them people were calling their lungs out for our Blessed Mother, but her response was that Her time was out, and know we have to face the Justice of God.
I dont want to scar nobody, my only question is this, How a can distiguish between if i have made the dream myself, or if this a deceipt fron the liar, or if this is from God?.

An excellent question.
First, the dreams you describe sound to me to be more the classical working out of fears and anxieties that normal dreams are noted for. In all liklihood, that is all they are.
Secondly, you mention that your futuristic dream is worrying you. Generally, dreams from God do not involve worry. Jesus said, Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will take care of itself. Because you feel a sense of worry about this dream, that is a MAJOR clue that the dream is not supernatural in origin, but merely a working out of your own fears and anxieties in your dream life.
Thirdly, on the point of how to discern, I would recommend A Still, Small Voice: A Practical Guide on Reported Revelations by Fr. Benedict J. Groeschel. This is one of the most invaluable books on the subject of discernment of visions, locutions, dreams, etc.
