NFP QUESTION from Christina April 28, 2000 All the major religions including the Catholic Church accept the use of NFP when couples have a sufficiently serious reason for spacing babies or family limitation.
I noticed that this is the answer you gave for reasons why NFP would be acceptable. This is my problem. What are the serious reason. Is it having enough money to send 2 kids or Harvard or having enough money to feed the 10 kids you already have. I just don't understand what would be a serious reason. I really want to know and am not trying to be argumentative about this.
Also someone has stated that withdrawal and NFP are both have equal openness to children so it does not matter which one you use. What can you tell me about this.
Thank you and God Bless
Chris
ANSWER by Mr. John Miskell on April 28, 2000 Dear Chris,
Indeed I said that all the major religions including the Catholic Church accept the use of NFP when couples have a sufficiently serious reason for spacing babies or family limitation. I did not however use this as the reason why the Catholic Church approves it. If you had continued reading my reply you would have read the reasons.
John
