Please read all the other messages in this IMPORANT TOPIC area before posting.Also as a reminder of the protocols for posting messages. The full protocols and guidelines are listed here.These reminders are standard operating procedure on BBSs and mail lists and are usually posted periodically.1) NEVER type your messages in all CAPITAL letters.2) Use proper punctuation. A period normally goes at the end of a sentence, not dashes (--) or multiple periods (....). Use dashes (--) and ellipses (...) properly.3) Please break up your messages in paragraphs. It is very difficult to read one big honkin paragraph (at least for us old men). I will be honest, I do not read messages that are longer than a standard paragraph and not broken up into paragraphs. You will notice that since I am the moderator, I have been editing your posts that are not broken up in paragraphs. I have to if I am going to read them. But, my edits of your post can serve as an example of how to break of messages into paragraphs. PLEASE USE PARAGRAPHS just as I did here with a blank line inbetween.4) ALWAYS place a blank line in-between paragraphs Please be sure to press the ENTER key on your keyboard ONLY at the end of a paragraph and then press it again before typing the next paragraph so that each paragraph is separated by a blank line. 5) Please type directly in the message window rather than preparing answers in a text editor and then cut and paste in the BBS message window. Cut and Paste can cause irregular line breaks that have to be cleaned up. Do not use cut and paste especially if you do not know how to correct the irregular line breaks. 6) STAY ON TOPIC. If a message inspires a new topic, then create a New Topic for the new subject.7) Avoid one-liner posts like, Thank you or Welcome to the BBS or We are praying for you. These one-liners offer messages that may be presumed, and only clutter the database making it larger with no substantive message. The larger the database the more money it costs. Thus we would like to see substantive messages. Substantive message can be as large as needed.Instead of a one-liner, offer a welcome or a thank you but add more to the post than just that. Comment about something the person said in their introduction or response that you can respond to in addition to the one-liner.8) Please do not post raw website URLs.When posting URLs, please use forum code instead of posting raw URLs.
