The Third Petition is that God’s will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven. We need to be fully open to God’s will in all aspects of our life. The Precursor: Prepare the Way of the Lord December 6th, 2009 Listen Now
The Church gives us as an Advent figure the vocation of John the Baptist. John prepared the way for the coming of our Lord. This was John’s vocation, the reason for his birth. We, too, have a vocation meant for us. As the the coming of our Lord was dependent upon the vocation of John the Baptist, God may have many plans that depend upon us to live as God wants.
