spiritual ware QUESTION from Matthew Escover November 10, 1999 Can an unclean spirit disturb a person, helping tempt them into self-distructive, sinful ways? How does one drive it away? One person I know said to hold a healing Mass for the family tree. Is this an effective solution?

Yes, this is possible.
The solution is to live a good Catholic life. Go to the sacraments frequently (Mass and Confession). Pray the Rosary and do other devotionals of your choice.
Avoid the near occasion of sin -- stay away from things that tempt you.
