DEMONS QUESTION from Bob on July 31, 2002 Brother, I was searching around in the forum and I read a post from you about your past in the occult and a post from a woman whose house was maybe haunted. In both instances children say what they referred to as a monster. In one instance, this monster had horns. I am writing you regarding clarification on the issue. Are we to believe that the Catholic pictures of demons, as monsters with horns, are real? Can and do demons appear as monsters? I always thought monsters weren't real!

Demons are pure spirits, thus they have no physical form. But they can appear in physical form at times when it suits their purpose.
The Bible tells us that it is possible for demons to appear as an angel of light. There are other references in the bible about angels appearing in physical form -- including human form.
When it suits their purpose demons can appear in ways that we expect them to appear -- as monsters with horn and tail. Keep in mind that this is not their real actual appearance, but a form they take to frighten I would suppose.
