2nd Marriage QUESTION from ANNA on January 10, 2003 If I wasn't married in a church the first time, can I get married in a Catholic church without getting an annullment?
ANSWER by John-Paul Ignatius, OLSM on January 16, 2003 Dear Anna:
There is no way to answer your question since you give no details. Even though married outside of the Church you may need to apply for a nullity of the first marriage.
You need to contact your parish priest or the diocesan Marriage Tribunal Office and ask them. They can tell you what is needed, if anything, before you marry.
God Bless.
