Faith/Spirituality Forum: prayers in the rosary
prayers in the rosary QUESTION from Lilia Bodino on September 9, 2002 Dear Bro. John-Paul:
I know God the Father gave us to pray the Our Father and the archangel Gabriel addressed to the Virgin Mary the Hail Mary.
My question is: who are the authors of the Apostles Creed, the Holy Mary, and the Glory be.
I am just interested to know the authors of the prayers in the rosary, a prayer I constantly say. Thank you so much.
Incidentally did you get the books I sent to the Post office box? I sent it to your attention.
ANSWER by John-Paul Ignatius, OLSM on September 17, 2002 Dear Miss Bodino:
Yes, I did get your package of books. Thanks very much. They are going on our bookshelf under a category called Naughty Catholic Pretending to Know More than the Magisterium of the Church. :)
On the author of the Apostles Creed, here is an article that goes into detail: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/01629a.htm
And here is an article on the Glory Be, which is a doxology: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/05150a.htm
God Bless.
