church calendar QUESTION from dave r. October 27, 2000 When did the Church officially switch from observing the old liturgical calendar eg Sundays after Pentecost, sexegesima, etc. to the new one eg _ th Sunday in Ordinary Time? Was this simultaneous with the promulgation of the Mass of Paul VI or did the new Mass for a time continue to follow the old calendar? Know of any faithful websites containing tables that harmonize the old and new calendars up to the present?
Thanks & God Bless
ANSWER by Mr. John Miskell on November 3, 2000 Dear Dave,
I believe the switch was made in 1962 but I'm not certain. The website your're looking for is found at; http://www.catholicliturgy.com/
In Christ,
