Knight Banneret The Knight Banneret, equivalent in the Marine Corp to a 1st Lieutenant, is the second highest ranking Junior Officer (Warrior Knight). The Knight Banneret is often a staff officer at the Company, Battalion, or Regimental levels, or may serve as Executive Officer to a Knight. The Knight Banneret may command a Group or command Apostolates or operational units on the Group or Company levels, be an instructor in Knight Banneret Candidate School, Spiritual Warfare Academy, or Knight Bachelor Academy, or be assigned to other operational tasks. Knights Banneret may also be assigned to lead specialty projects, units, or apostolates
