U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb
U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb in Madison, Wisconsin, is inducted into our Hall of Shame for her declaration that the National Day of Prayer violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the Constitution. For this act we also declare Judge Crabb as Idiot of the Year. The First Amendment hardly prohibits a National Day of Prayer, or for that matter, a Nativity Scene on city property. Has anyone actually read the First Amendment in the last 50 years? The First Amendment states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Our founding fathers included the Establishment Clause (Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion) to ensure that our Government will not establish a religion in the manner of England in the establishment of the state religion of the Church of England, with the monarch as head of the Church. That’s it. The Free Exercise Clause (Congress shall make no law … prohibiting the free exercise thereof ) is the sister of the Establishment Clause to protect the people’s right to worship as they please. It is the progressives, who despise the Declaration of Independence for its listing of God-given rights, and the the Constitution for its reigns on government. Progressives want unlimited government and wish to change and expand the Constitution by the bench (a violation of the separation of powers), and Congressional and Presidential fiat, and to reinterpret Constitutional principles to fit modern fads and prejudices. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves at judicial actions like this moron Judge Crabb. Read More About It >>>
