Spiritual Warfare Forum: reiki
reiki QUESTION from Eduardo June 2, 2001 I have read many of your answers with pleasure and have had several of my questions answered. I do not beleive in reiki. However this was my experience. In my friend's shop, a reiki practioner offered this to me. At the time I was so ignorant that I confused this practice with Shiatsu pressure point massage since I had to sit down in a chair with my clothes on. then she performed reiki on me and I could feel a sensation similar to the imposition of hands that I have had in the past done by Catholic charismatic practitioners including priests. the difference though is that i got a slight headache and dizzyness, this happened a year and a half ago. This person I later found out was far from saintly. do you think I need some spiritual cleasing because of this by a priest with expertise on liberation or is it enough just to renounce to evil by asking the Lord Jesus.
thanx again and God bless you.
ANSWER by John-Paul Ignatius, OLSM on July 10, 2001 Dear Mr. Eduardo:
Yes. I think you need to pray a prayer of renunciation of this non-Christian activity that you did. There is such a prayer in our Prayer Catalog linked at the top of the Index page.
This is needed not only because you involved yourself in things you shouldn't, but you have NO IDEA what that reiki practitioner did in his personal prayer.
What a lot of people don't know is that while they think they are just getting a massage, the practitioner is silently praying to a false god, demonic entity, etc.
Thus one can become contaminated, as it were.
Praying the prayers offered on our website should be sufficient.
