Faith/Spirituality Forum: vocation
vocation QUESTION from Aurora on January 3, 2003 Hello, I wanted to elaborate more on this 'vocation'. I am 29 and feel I am being called to marriage. I have never been married before and have always been Catholic. I have had the chance to marry but chose not to.
I have recognized that when I had the chance to marry, the goal is always for the church. This I know after I tried living the single life and also I know for certain it is not the religious life.
My guess is that perhaps patience is needed here? I am not sure. Maybe I am rushing myself.
Thanks again
ANSWER by John-Paul Ignatius, OLSM on January 4, 2003 Dear Aurora:
Yes, patience is the key. Relax and live your life as best you kind as a good and loyal Catholic. Offer prayers for God to send you a good man who can be a husband.
But, you need to do what Jesus did -- Offer the prayer and then say, nevertheless, Thy will be done.
Accept whatever comes.
We will be praying for you.
God Bless.
