signs from GOD QUESTION from Dan on October 1, 2002 I have been going through a very trying time in my personal life and through all of it I have found some comfort in talking to God. I often ask him for signs to show me that he is hearing me and that some progress is being made.
Sometimes I think things are getting better, but I just don't know if these events, actions, thoughts or words are from him. Is there a way that I will be able to tell if these are signs from GOD? If I just knew how to look at these things I think it would help me to carry on through my ordeal. Thank You very much for taking the time to review my question.

I am glad to hear that you feel good talking to God. God is pleased with that.
All things good come from God. Do not worry about whether some good event was a direct answer to your prayer or not. Just praise God that something good happened!
If something bad happens, then praise God too! for we know that ALL thing work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
As for a specific and noticeable sign, do not look for that. God does not usually work in that way. The signs of God's love is in your life, in all the good things that happen to you, and in all the bad things that happen to you to which God stays with you and helps you to cope.
Look upon these events, actions, thoughts or words that seem to guide you in a positive way as God's providence. He loves you and He is listening to you. Proof? Well you said that you have events, actions, and thoughts that are helping to improve things!
