Unitarian-Universalist Churches QUESTION from Dawn May 30, 2000 Greetings. I am going to be a bridesmaid for my cousin. She is having her wedding in a Unitarian-Universalist Church. Could you please give me any information on what this church is? I have been surfing the 'net regarding this topic, but would also like your opinion. Thank you!
ANSWER by John-Paul Ignatius, O.L.S.M. on June 17, 2000 Dear Miss Dawn:
The Universalists-Unitarian church is not Christian.
They believe in the god of the Question-mark (?), as I like to put it.
They are really a Church of agnostic philosophy.
They do not believe in the Trinity, they do not believe in Jesus Christ as God and Man who is our Savior. They are humanist, new agers, some occultists, but really such a group of people who want to pretend to be spiritual but really only believe is SELF. We will pray for your cousin. If she is involved with the UU Church, then she has lost her faith in Christ.
