Divine Office Forum: Antiphons, Lectionary, Supplement
Antiphons, Lectionary, Supplement QUESTION from M Smith on January 25, 2003 1. Just a quick addition to your answer to Gary Delahay on his question entitled Single Antiphon: if you look at Prayer During the Day for Christmas Day, you will see that the antiphon--when there is only a single antiphon in the Proper for Prayer During the Day--is said at the beginning of the first and at the end of the third psalm. This is specified in the rubrics found at the beginning of the Complementary Psalms for Prayer During the Day, as set out in the multi-volume edition of the Liturgy of the Hours.
2. The Supplement to the LOH ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0899424058/legionofstmichae/ ) you mention in your reply to Don Harris (Office of Readings Lectionary): is this the Lectionary mention in the GILH nn. 161, 250? Or is it the supplement mentioned in the GILH nn. 112, 145? Or is it both?
Thanks in advance
ANSWER by John-Paul Ignatius, OLSM on January 28, 2003 Dear Mr. Smith:
Thanks for the additional info.
The reference to the Lectionary is the same Lectionary book used at Mass.
As mention in the previous answer, the Supplement you linked is a volume I have not seen before so I am not sure what it contains.
