Notitiae again QUESTION from Mr. Michael Pearce October 14, 1999
Dear John, I have only just returned to my computer after a couple of weeks on holiday and was very surprised to read the reply in which you said that Notitiae is no longer published. I don't think this is correct. Two days ago I received advice from a member of the Fraternity of Saint Peter that Protocol 1411, which concerns the Fraternity, has within the last few days been published in Notitiae, making it official. As a former long-term subscriber to Notitiae I would not recommend it to anyone who is not multilingual. A small proportion of the journal comprises official notices, usually in Latin. Most of the other text consists either of : * commentaries on the official notices (most often in Italian) * scholarly articles on liturgical subjects (in the writer's language, without translation) * reports on activities in various countries (again in the writer's language, without translation) There are a number of websites and Catholic newspapers or magazines where reliable liturgical news can be obtained.
