Rubrics QUESTION from Anon February 3, 2000
I noticed that you said in one of the posts concerning the regulations for a Deacon's kneeling or not kneeling that the COB took precedence over the GRIM. I'm wondering if the COB has been updated since the pope issued INSTRUCTION ON CERTAIN QUESTIONS REGARDING THE COLLABORATION OF THE NON-ORDAINED FAITHFUL IN THE SACRED MINISTRY OF PRIEST LIBRERIA EDITRICE VATICANA VATICAN CITY 1997 This document took precedence over all written before it in regard to the rubrics. Just curious as I have no access to the COB. We are considering several things in our Mass to be illicit because we are following the rubrics and the above-mentioned document. Perhaps we are wrong. Dear Anon, Thanks for your question. You make an interesting observation. I’m unaware of a particular liturgical rubric(s) that would be affected by the Collaboration… document. Could you provide more detail? In Christ, John Miskell Back to Index Page
