Priest sitting while Deacon serves Communion QUESTION from Virginia Cottrell February 2, 2000
Is it proper for the priest to sit down after the Consecration, allowing the Deacon to serve the Host alone? What actions should we take if this is not proper? ANSWER by Mr. John Miskell on February 9, 2000
If the priest is infirm, ill, or in any other way impaired from standing at length to give Communion then yes he may sit while the Deacon or EEM gives Communion. Otherwise no, he may not. In Christ, John Miskell Back to Index Page
