The Euchrist QUESTION from Bob Jacobs November 1, 1998

I have been told that we are not required to take of the Blood during the service. Is it neccesary to partake of both the bread and the wine? ANSWER by Mr. John Miskell on November 1, 1998

You may receive communion under both species at any Mass whenever it's offered. It's your choice to receive both kinds or not. You may choose to receive only the Host, or only the Precious Blood, or you may choose to receive both. After Consecration the bread and wine is no longer bread and wine, but the real and physical Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Regards, John Miskell Back to Index Page
