nature of possession sw
The nature of possession QUESTION from Christopher on February 14, 2004
Yes, I will admit right now that I am an occultist.
I am here asking a question about fiends and possession.
Is it possible for a person to take on the traits of a fiend while alive? I know a guy who is taking on some unusual changes, such as the ability to read languages that he doesn't know, speak occasionally in tongues, and even more disturbing, see in total darkness.
Other times, he gives of a black aura. He also claims to speak to demons and understand them. I think that he may be becoming a demon himself. Is it possible for a person to become a demon? If this is possible, what is it called? Can it be stopped, reversed? What do you think should be done with this guy?

Dear Christopher:To direct answer to your question is no, people cannot become demons just as demons cannot become people. God made man and God made angels; man will be man and angels will be angels forever - whether that forever is spent in eternal bliss with God in Heaven, or spent in eternal torment with Satan and his demons in Hell.We can become LIKE demons, but we cannot BECOME demons. The world is full of people who are like their Father, Satan: Occultists, rapists, murderers, thieves, adulterers, idolaters, demonoloters, coveters, those who hate God, those who hate their neighbor, etc.. And yes, Satan can empower his followers with gifts like those exhibited by your friend. Make no mistake about it - the price people pay for such gifts is immeasurably high. The world is also full of those who are like Christ: Those who reject Satan, father of sin and prince of darkness, and all of his works, all of his empty promises, those who reject sin, those who reject the glamour of evil and refuse to be mastered by sin. And yes, Christ empowers His followers with gifts. Christ's gifts are free and their worth is infinite. Christ's gifts destroy the works and the powers of Satan and his followers. What is the remedy for one who has become like their father Satan? Reject him and repent. Turn from the path of sin to the path of righteousness. Return to God and ask for His mercy and forgiveness. He is waiting with open arms.We will be in prayer for your conversion and for the conversion of your friend.God bless you,Joe MeinekeSPCDC Counselor, SPCDC
