Listen Now Our Lord cured the sick and healed the broken hearted. In today’s Mass readings Jesus healed a deaf mute by placing his finger in his ears and saliva on his tongue. The healing power, however, did not come from these Sacramental actions, but from the words of Our Lord. This is the nature of the Sacraments — a physical manifestation of an invisible reality. Let us receive the Sacraments and be open to hearing the Word of God and speaking the Gospel to others.
