Jimmy Carter and the New Racism
The third definition listed for racism in the Random House Unabridged Dictionary, Second Edition, is: hatred or intolerance of another race or other races. A derivative of this definition is a new form of racism — to accuse someone of racism (usually a white person) when he makes a legitimate criticism of and action, policy, or view of a person of color. This technique is actually a Liberal Tactic of Obfuscation in that it seeks to divert attention away from the substance of the issues. It is an attempt to intimidate the critic and shut down the discussion. Such a technique is a mark of a person without intellectual honesty. It is a sign that the accuser cannot answer the legitimate criticisms. This tactic of obfuscation is an old one, but recently has become a major tactic used against Obama critics. This writer was accosted about 25 years ago by this new form of racism by three young black men. These men parked their car in the parking lot of the print shop where I worked. Signs were in the parking lot notifying parkers that the lot was only for the print shop customers and all others would be towed. When I saw these men park in our lot and then head for the bar down the street I called to them and asked them to park elsewhere. They resisted. I finally told them that if they did not move their car I would have it towed. Their response was, You are only saying that because we are black. No, I was saying that because they were illegally parking on our lot. Today, especially since the Obama regime, we are seeing this shameful attitude around every corner. Anyone who criticizes President Obama is attributed to some sort of inherent racism. This is not true. The reason why people are criticizing Obama is because they disagree with this views and policies. We have already inducted Eugene Robinson, from the Washington Post, for his racism. Also is Maureen Dowd, of The New York Times, another of the new racists. Now, we have very prominent people joining the group of new racists making this accusation toward those who disagree with Obama. Jimmy Carter, former President of the United States has joined the ranks of the new racism, and thus President Carter is inducted into our Hall of Shame. Jimmy Carter said on MSNBC, I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he’s African-American.
