Last spring during 1st Holy Communion season in May, my wife and I were at church and saw the cutest little fellow all decked out in his white suit. [It was practice day]Anyway, I asked the little guy How old he was?8 years old he said.How old are you he asked?48 I said.I then asked him What will you be in 40 years? His little forehead furrowed and he seemed to have his thinking cap on. NO quick response here, I thought, this kid is Catholic, thoughtful rational answers. In 40 years I will be 48, he responded.
