I cannot let go of this relationship and allow myself to be humiliated by this man because I lack self-esteem. Inside I want a life with him and wish he would break his engagement, but, I know that it is not in my hands...only God's will, not mine. Please pray for me to have the strength to walk away from this man and that if we are meant to be together then God in his time will make it happen. If not, then I have to move on with my life and seek comfort, peace and strength in Christ, something I can never find in humanity no matter how hard I look for it. She isbegining the process this friday - please let her not feel guilty that sheis going against the bible words - till death do us part. in this case ifshe does not get a divorce the entire family will be doomed. He told me the other day that he was having withdrawl symptoms. He does not drink every day, but he binges and he believes that he doesn't let this control him.But it does control him and it affects our marriage and our children. He doesn't hurt us but he doesn't set a good example either. Please pray with me that his taste for alcohol is destroyed. Also pray for him to develope good relationship with the Lord. She has stopped drinking for 12 days now (Thank You, Jesus!), but on previous occasions where she quit drinking, some contact between her and these men helped trigger relapse. Should I simply stop them, and risk driving her to despair/drinking again myself (she thinks I would trigger her firing from church ministry), or should I wait for Your Providence to show her they must be shunned? Please bring my wife's heart back toward decency by following Your Ways. Please guide me in Your Ways every second, with how to deal with this abomination mocking Your Name and Your church.
