The Holy Wood Acting Studio and Carlos Espinosa, who is CEO/President and company is inducted into our Hall of Honor for its visionary insight to bring values to the acting industry by training students to respect themselves and their bodies, in accordance with the Theology of the Body, to use their talent for the glory of God. The mission statement states: Remember that you, artists, are the custodians of beauty in the world. Our mission is to prepare and form our students to become excellent actors and powerful couriers of truth and beauty through media to the world. The mission of Holy Wood Acting Studio is to prepare our actors to take a leading role in guiding these great media to that moral center that, in the past, proved that fictional drama can be honest, entertaining, popular, important and influential. All of our courses emphasize personal and professional growth and development, not limiting such growth to acting potential but also transforming the trainees into leaders in their family lives and community as well. In other words, graduates of Holy Wood Acting Studio can be counted upon to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of all they touch. Carlos explains: In addition to improving students acting skills and providing aspiring actors with the necessary tools to excel as professionals, we teach them how to love themselves as much as God loves them which will give the future actor really strong confidence in our Personal Growth and Development program. We train our students to be powerful leaders since their career as actors naturally requires them to lead masses from the screen in our Leadership program. In Health and Fitness integrated with Theology of the Body students become aware of their own dignity and rediscover their beauty. They learn to enhance and maintain their body with exciting classes and exercises challenging them to become the awesome person God intended for them to be. This all encompassing program will give students the strength needed not only to avoid the dangers of fame and money but to be stewards of these gifts in a great way to lead and to bring light to millions. We understand that acting is not only a job, its a calling. We want people to know our mission which is to form torches of Light and curriers of beauty as John Paul II said, for the media. This is a bold effort that we should support to bring values and God to the acting profession. Interview on Life on the Rock, EWTN:
