HOW DARE YOU??!!! QUESTION from Nikita Creed November 28, 1999 How dare you? I ask you this sir, because you seem to think you are aware of the mind of God. You claim that God condemns all those who practice witchcraft and that all who do are the disciples of Satan. Well...you could not be more wrong. I myself am a hereditary witch. Do you even have a clue what that is? It means I was born this way. By your words you claim I am a disciple of Satan since birth!! How could you possible know who God condemns and who he doesn't? Because you are a priest or a monk? You sir, are nothing more than a modern day witch hunter. Never in history are there instances of pagans commiting mass slaughter, there are however countless acts of genocide committed by followers of God. Shall I list a few? Where shall I begin? The Inquistion? The Salem Witch Trials? The Crusades? You fear what you do not understand and label it as a sin. You read the words of man and accept them as the undiluted words of God. The bible was written by man and continually changed by man. All pagans are NOT disciples of the devil. As a matter of fact my good man, Pagans are by a large majority, healers. I have the power to heal..as I said I was born with this way. I am not ashamed to be a witch and nor do I believe God condemns me for it. It is only ignorant, fearful, and uneducated on the subject people like you who would condemn me.
Sincerely, Nikita Creed
ANSWER by John-Paul Ignatius on November 30, 1999 Dear Mrs. Creed:
For a general response to your hateful and judgmental diatribe, I refer you to my answer to your alter-ego Patrick Laughing Wind Coyote.
But, to touch upon a couple of things unique in your question....
You state: I myself am a hereditary witch. Do you even have a clue what that is? It means I was born this way. By your words you claim I am a disciple of Satan since birth!!
Yes I know what that is, dear. However, you were made in the image of God, not witchcraft. You were born to love and follow God, not witchcraft.
Let me add a few things in response to some of the distorted history you present. I am always amazed at these wild histories these people come up with. There is never any evidence to speak of and these fantasy histories are remarkably like those that one has in a state of intoxication of mushrooms.
You proclaim: Never in history are there instances of pagans commiting mass slaughter, there are however countless acts of genocide committed by followers of God. Shall I list a few? Where shall I begin? The Inquistion? The Salem Witch Trials? The Crusades? You fear what you do not understand and label it as a sin.
Well, without getting into your distortions and inaccuracies of the Inquisition and Crusades (the Salem Witch Trials did not involve the Catholic Church, and I might add, that most of the witch-hunts were done by Calvinists who killed some 40,000 witches in Europe), let us treat this remarkable statement of delusion, Never in history are there instances of pagans commiting mass slaughter.
How shall we count the ways?
Pagan cultures slaughtered all sorts of people since the beginning of time. Before Abraham there were mass killings of people by pagans.
Many pagan cultures slaughtered thousands in human sacrifices as part of their religion. Aztecs are just one example of such Indian Spirituality.
Pagan Rome killed untold numbers of people for the sake of their religion.
Pagan Rome murdered untold numbers of Christians during the first three centuries of Christianity.
Pagan Egypt enslaved untold numbers of people, such as the people of Israel, for centuries.
Pagan tribes in South America and Africa have been known to commit genocide of neighboring tribes and peoples throughout history.
I could go on all day and night. These are just a few that pop to front of my memory at the moment.
The idea that pagans have not committed mass killings is utter delusion.
You state: I am not ashamed to be a witch and nor do I believe God condemns me for it.
Sorry, but God does condemn witchcraft:
Deuteronomy 18:9-12: When you come into the land which the LORD, your God, is giving you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of the peoples there. Let there not be found among you anyone who immolates his son or daughter in the fire, nor a fortune-teller, soothsayer, charmer, diviner, or caster of spells, nor one who consults ghosts and spirits or seeks oracles from the dead. Anyone who does such things is an abomination to the LORD, and because of such abominations the LORD, your God, is driving these nations out of your way.
WISDOM 12:4 …for deeds most odious-- Works of witchcraft and impious sacrifices;
Among the Sins of the Flesh are sorcery or witchcraft (Gal 5:20)
There is NO WAY one can reconcile witchcraft with God. Witchcraft is an abomination to God. This is clear in the Bible and in Church teaching. And such teaching has ALWAYS been held throughout the entire history of not only the Church, but of the Jewish faith as well.
You state: It is only ignorant, fearful, and uneducated on the subject people like you who would condemn me.
First off, neither I, nor anyone else, condemns YOU. Only you can do that to yourself by rejection of God. But we do condemn the evil and sinful practices of witchcraft, NOT because it is our opinion, but because God says so.
Second, I am neither ignorant, fearful, or uneducated on the subject. Besides doing a lot of study on the issue, I was a healer myself, and a witch, I guess one could say, at one time. I have personal inside knowledge of the subject.
These posts from you and your alter ego have revealed who is truly ignorant (of the truth and of history), fearful (of the truth, thus the attack upon us), and uneducated (about the truth, history, the Church, and even paganism as seen by the wild nonsensical statements about the Church and about pagans).
We will pray for you that you may see the True Light of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and come to conversion and thus partake of the heavenly reward.
P.S. I have allowed both you and your alter ego to express your views unedited. I have responeded. There will be no more postings from you or Patrick, or any of your other friends, which are disingenous, attacking, or otherwise a diatribe or other nonsense. This is not a debate forum.
