Kabballah, Angelic Alphabet, Magick,Wicca QUESTION from Dawidh June 26, 2000 Ok, from what I have read on the posts, the catholic church is opposed to all forms of magick, or occultic philosophies and or practices.
Kabballah is a form of magick which gets its origins from mystical interpretations of holy semetic scripture, for the most part that which is written in the sacred hebrew aleph-bet (alphabet). The Jews are the chosen ones of the God of Israel, the eternal infinite holy one, blessed be He. The kabballah is also considered an occult practice as well as Enochian magick which involves the use of the Enochian or angelic alphabet, the language of angels as well as being the original language of Eden.
According to the Golden Dawn, which is a hermetic occult order, no knowledge of the Enochian alphabet or its application should be made know to thyself or by any other means until the kabballah is known completely with no stone left unturned.
I urge anyone reading this to not dabble with kabbalah, and especially enochian magick, as it could become dangerous if one does know what he/she is doing or is not dedicated to the magickal path of enlightenment as it takes alot of meditational skills, focus, and concentration without one giving up on the path. First of all you would have to have a complete and thorough knowledge, at least from my perspective, of the biblical hebrew language as well as related tongues, this means a tongue like the Ancient Estrangela alpahbet.
anyway my question is how can the Catholic Church claim it holds the key to the truth about god,religion,jesus. Like I have heard that the Catholic Church is the absolute authority concerning Jesus Christ, and how is it that the practice of the kabballah and enochian magick can be considered evil when moses knew of the kabballah, that is how the red sea was parted, and how his rod turned into a serpent, it was from moses's knowledge of kabballah that he was able to do this, he alone did not do this however, he drew the energy of god through his body by a spoken invocation that lit up the tree of life within his body, he probaly spoke the 72names of God in a certain order, and the energy that lit the tree of life was thus also within the wood of the rod of his hand, he then thrust the rod into the earth and thus parted the sea.
And Dr.John Dee and Edward Kelley received the Enochian or Angelic alphabet from the same Angels that took Enoch into the heavens by their extensive occultic knowledge, and Dee, wishing to know things not known was directing fervent prayers to god when an angel appeared to him in a skrying stone cast the angelic alphabet in a golden light onto a piece of paper and taught dee how to build the holy table of practice of of a certain type of wood and had to be fastened with pure gold nails and overlaid with gold and certain designs had to be put onto the overlaying also the angelic alphabet arrayed in a certain fashion all of these engraved into the gold overlaying the table, all of these according to the instructions of the angel and thus the angel handed dee a special scrying stone to be placed in t

True, and this is is condemned You assert as if this is a justification to make the Kabballah okay, The Jews are the chosen ones of the God of Israel
It is true that Israel are the Chosen Ones. But these chosen ones are hardly sinless and can commit sin. The Chosen One's own Scriptures, Deut. 18 condemns all occultic practices. I appreciate you giving this warning. So many people go into these things without a thought in their head, completely unprepared, and end up in REAL trouble, even from an occultist point-of-view. Of course, I would add that no Christian should involve themselves in this AT ALL.

Because the Catholic Church was personally founded by Jesus Christ Himself (Matt 16:18-19, Isa 22:15-24). Jesus appointed Peter as successor of the Old Testament magisterium that was called the Chair of Moses (Matt 22:2) making Peter the First to sit in the Chair of Peter (Isa 22:15-24). Since Jesus founded the Church, and gave the Church the power to govern, interpret, and guard faith and morals (Mt. 28:18-20; John 20:23; 1 Cor 11:24; Lk 10:16; Mt 18:18 Mt 19:17), the Church therefore has been given the commission and authority by God Himself to interpret Scriptures, teach, preach, correct, rebuke, correct, and discipline. It is the Church that is the Pillar and Foundation of Truth (1 Tim 3:15).
This is further affirmed by the actual manuscripts of writers of the early centuries, such as St. Ignatius of Antioch, 107ad, St. Irenaeus (200ad), Eusbius of Caesarea (4th century), and St. Augustine (392ad).
St. Augustine sums this up:

ONLY the Catholic Church has this connection to Jesus and the fullness of the complete faith. Moses DID NOT use any form of occult. GOD performed those miracles. In fact you have stumbled onto the difference between God and the occult. The occult attempts to manipulate nature, or the future, etc. by the application of the will of the occultist and through the personal power of the occultist. This is sin. The miracles of God are NOT a result of people trying to manipulate anyone one behalf of themselves or in their own power, or in their own attempt control occult powers.
The power and the initiative is God's and God's alone in the miracles of Moses and all other legitimate miracles.
The angelic alphabet you refer to was either invented by the man, or given to him by demons.
The truth is Jesus Christ and His Church which is the pillar of truth (1 Tim 3:15).
This because we (the Catholic Church) are the holders of the Truth, we do have absolute authority in interpretation of the Bible and of the faith and morals that God requires of His children.
