Hymnal for the Hours -GIA QUESTION from Gerard Paul on January 9, 2003 Dear Bro Ignatius,
As a follow-up to my preceeding question, I came across GIA's Hymnal for the Hours. How would you evaluate this publication? I read somewhere about inclusive language problems in this edition.
Should I purchase this as an aid to learning the hymns?

I have not seen this particular volume that you mention, but generally I do not personally trust GIA. The references I gave in my previous answer would be a better bet.
P.S. In the Divine Office course I am now working on, I will provide some of the music notations as well.
