Holy Days of Obligation in Canada QUESTION from Michael Boyle January 13, 2000
I am in the process of moving to the Vancouver area, and I am curious as to the Holy Days of Obligation in Canada. I am told that they are different from those in the States, but I'm not able to find them on any web resources. God bless. Mike ANSWER by Mr. John Miskell on January 16, 2000
Dear Mike, There are two holy days of obligation in Canada; January 1st, Feast of Mary, Mother of God. December 25th, The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ The feasts of the Epiphany, the Ascension, the Holy Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) will be transferred to the following Sunday.
