Volunteer Position Openings Alert
for the St. Michael's Call Catholic SuperSite

Website Associates

Applicants must meet all the follow qualifications to be eligible for any of the Web Associates positions:

  1. must have a telephone, email account, and Internet Web access
  2. have Internet Explorer version 6 or better (other browsers are acceptible but IE6+ is still need to test webpages)
  3. must have an HTML editor such as the free Arachaphobia or similar editor and know how to use it
  4. must have an FTP client such as the free SmartFTP or other FTP client and know how to use it
  5. meet particular additional qualifications for the specific position sought
  6. should be familiar with our website
  7. be practicing Catholics in good standing who are loyal and obedient to the Pope and Magisterium in union with the him

The following volunteers positions for Web Associates are now open:

Library Master: This position requires a person seek out documents on the Internet or in hard copy that can be scaned into the computer that are appropriate for our Library. The Library Master will format those articles into our Library webpage HTML template or to translate documents into pdf format. The Library Master shall also assist the Webmaster in webpage (re)design of the Library. The Library Master will also supervise any Library Assistants. Although it is not required, It is helpful if the Library Master owns a computer scanner to scan hard copies.

Library Assistant: This position requires a person assist the Library Master in his duties. An assistant may be assigned by the Library Master to perform one or more tasks according to the assistant's abilities.

Research Assistant: This position requires a person have abilities to research a topic on the Internet and to gather such information for the Library Master and/or the Webmaster and other staff.

Correspondent: This position requires a person have abilities to research and monior Internet and traditional news feeds and sources for contemporary news items of interest to Catholics and our Website and to write reports and/or reference source material in a Catholic News Blog.

Copy Editors: This position is that of a proofreader. The person will browse our webpages looking for typos, misspellings, and grammatical or compositional mistakes. Attention to detail is a must as is good spelling abilities and at least a modest mastery of English grammar and composition.

Linkmaster: This position will seach out Catholic Sites that meet our standards for entry in our "Village" of favorite websites. This person needs to have a passing familiarity with HTML. The links posted in our Village will be by template so no originally coding is required. A second job of the Linkmaster is to send a standard email to other selected websites asking them to link us in their favorite websites or website resource directories.

Catholic Q&A Forum

Applicants must meet all the follow qualifications to be eligible for this a Q&A Host position:

  1. must have a telephone, email account, and Internet Web access
  2. have Internet Explorer version 6 or better
  3. must be able check his mail daily
  4. be able to answer questions normally within three days (provisions are made for vacations and temporary delays)
  5. Applicants should be familiar with our Question and Answer Forums, its mission statement and goals, source of authorities, and its Guidelines for Posting, Protocols, and Rules of Conduct for questioners.
  6. be practicing Catholics in good standing who are loyal and obedient to the Pope and Magisterium in union with the him
  7. be thoroughly knowledgeable on the topic of the Q&A Forum to which he is applying.

The following volunteers positions for our Question and Answer Forum are now open:

Defending the Faith Question and Anwser Forum: This position requires a person to be experienced and knowledgble on the Faith and how to answer questions from questioning Catholics, non-Catholic, and even anti-Catholics.. The applicant must have have research skills in order to find answers to questions asked by the public.

ProLife Question and Anwser Forum: This position requires a person to be experienced and knowledgble on the Pro Life movement and the issues of concern to the ProLife community. The applicant must have have research skills in order to find answers to questions asked by the public.
