Hello Everyone, I came across an interesting article on Americans religious beliefs, and how a good percentage of many different religions including Catholics, do not believe that faith in God is the only way to salvation. In fact, the article states that a good amount of Catholics do not know or understand the teachings of their faith. Religious Americans my faith isn't the only way I think no matter what faith you are, you have a responsibility to educate yourself on the teachings of your faith. I find it sad that some Catholics still pick and choose what suits them to believe in. When are people going to wake up and realize you can't have it both ways. How can people say they are Catholic, if they don't believe Jesus is really present in the Eucharist? or they believe in abortion, stem cell research, or put their faith on the side when voting?

I don't know where in Canon Law to start looking, but I remember a paragraph in Canon Law that says this very thing. Peace,Clare

And this one relates: quote:Can. 210 All Christ's faithful, each according to his or her own condition, must make a wholehearted effort to lead a holy life, and to promote the growth of the Church and its continual sanctification.
